It's gotta be better than last year.
2007.
What a crappy year for me.
I'm trying to focus on the positive and live in the moment, but damn, I'm positive it was a crappy year. I almost moved to Florida. I almost moved to Dallas. I almost did a bunch of things that would have been a mistake. There was unspeakable loss and grief. It just all sucked.
The positive me is saying "Aren't you glad you listened to your gut?" I really want to slap the Pollyanna positive me. I'm working on cultivating a cynical, sarcastic, New York style, except that everyone I met in New York was perfectly nice and friendly, so go figure.
My resolution for 2008 : Get over 2007.
